
Senior UX Content Designer with a deep passion for crafting compelling and humane user experiences that touch thousands of lives daily. I currently work with Unit4, and play a pivotal role in establishing, nurturing, and advocating for the content design practice across the company.




About me
When I was growing up in the 90s, digital design was just an emerging profession in India. I was greatly influenced by this first wave of digital professionals and was inspired by how they were creating impact globally through their work – websites, games, CGI, and so on. Around the same time I discovered the creative in me, and I realized I could be one of them. My love for creativity has taken many shapes and forms over the years – from reading, writing, and drawing to interior design and more...
In school, I developed a knack for information technology as well, and chose Computer Engineering as my major subject in university. However, my eternal love for design never faded. In fact it grew with time. I decided to blend my newly-acquired
technical skills with my creative and communication acumen, marking the start of my career as a technical writer-cum-strategist and eventually as a content designer.
I'm the first content designer on Unit4’s UX team and playing the role of a content design founder while also designing user-centric experiences for Unit4's complex ERP software solutions.
My role as the content design founder / leader:
- Lead the content chapter of Unit4’s design system - create content guidance for UI design components in Figma, create voice and tone framework, define content styles and patterns, writing guidelines, inclusive language, a11y checklist, etc.
- Create a holistic content testing framework and standardize readability scores to measure content impact
- Create reusable information architecture and empathy mapping templates to capture the user’s mental model
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, research, UX, and engineering) to define processes around ways of working to integrate content practices with product design cycles
- Partner with other content teams (technical writing, marketing, etc.) to create and implement an end-to-end content strategy across all platforms and surfaces
- Conduct show and tell sessions, co-design workshops, and use the power of storytelling to onboard wider teams on the content design practice
My role as the core content designer:
- Develop user-centric UX content for Unit4’s ERP suite (Absences, Timesheets, Approvals, ERP dashboard, etc.) that helps Unit4 customers focus on important workday tasks
- Create universal content for automated interfaces through enterprise assistant
Prior to Unit4, I worked with the amazing UX and product teams at Expedia and contributed towards redesigning a world-class content experience for travel insurance customers that makes them feel confident to restart travel in a post-COVID world. As a core member of the experience design team, I was responsible for crafting some of the most content-led experiences in the Expedia ecosystem:
- Assurance priming and messaging across travel product lines: flights, lodging, car rentals, and so on
- Insurance purchase and post-purchase experiences
- Translation of highly legal insurance benefits info into customer-friendly lingo
Prior to Expedia, I worked with Adobe where I found a fertile platform to explore my creative side while designing content experiences for some of the world’s leading design apps – Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Fresco, XD, and Aero.
Before Adobe, I spent almost a decade at Cadence Design Systems where I developed targeted self-help content experiences for complex electronic design automation apps for both analog and digital platforms.
I had a two-year stint with HCL Technologies early in my career. It gave me opportunities to produce different content types across domains ranging from networking to supply-chain-management and corporate marcomm.
I’m a strong supporter of minimalism and believe in decluttering and reorganizing my belongings regularly so that everything around me stays relevant.
Here are core values that I consider my strengths – collaboration, self-motivation, quest for excellence, and a solution-oriented outlook. I stay true to the never say die attitude and am a strong believer in “Think big. Start small. Act fast.” when it comes to trying out new things at work.
I love to spend time with the apple of my eye – my daughter (mostly monkeying around), read anything that interests me (literally anything!), reimagine and reorganize the interiors of my abode (my experiments start from my own home!), and sometimes enjoy shopping therapy, albeit virtually nowadays.
